Israeli daylight saving time is ending early on Sunday, 26 October 2014, and (as long as you don’t have kids) you get an hour of extra sleep.
Fall back 2014
Daylight saving time (שעון קיץ / sha’on kayitz) will end this weekend, and we will be operating on standard time (שעון חורף / sha’on choref). Before you head to bed on Saturday 25 October, set manually-adjusted clocks – alarm clock, oven clock, wall clocks, and wristwatches – one hour back.
Officially, the time change takes place on Sunday, 26 October 2014 at 02:00, when you will be magically granted the ability to redo everything you did wrong over the previous hour as the clocks will be moved back to 01:00.
European, USA clock changes
Most of Europe will switch clocks with Israel on Sunday 26 October. The US will fall back on Sunday 2 November.
Looking ahead to the next change
Clocks will change again on 27 March 2015.
